Critical Bobbin Winder InformationManual bobbin winders, whether thick or thin spindle, should always be turned (cranked) clockwise. To run them 'backwards' (counterclockwise) will most likely ruin the brass main gear. Winding backwards is not covered by warranty. Replacement gears are available. It is also important to lightly oil the winder. Instructions on oiling are included with each winder we ship. A tiny drop of light oil where the spindle seats in small brass cup is also recommended. Remember, wind clockwise. 1/08 |
