Dress your loom the Swedish Way, will show how to warp a Glimakra or any traditional loom. This video uses the traditional warping method which is applicable to all looms, both table looms and floor looms. It is two hours long and very comprehensive with several warp beaming methods for perfect tension on our warp. It demonstrates how to warp the loom without help from another person. It demonstrates the tie up of a countermarch, including multishaft tie ups and the tie up of a counterbalance loom. It includes the tie up of drall pulleys.
Dress your Swedish Drawloom is a video with instructions for weaving on Swedish drawlooms, with information on types of drawlooms and how to warp and weave on them.

You can purchase replacement parts and extra shafts, lamms and treadles for your Glimakra loom. If you cannot find the part listed, contact me for prices and information on ordering.
The Glimakra instruction booklet which comes with the loom shows loom parts, assembly of the loom frame, putting the warp on the loom and tie up instructions for the counterbalance tie up. Glimakra Loom Assembly instruction booklet (Standard or Ideal) $16.00
If you have a countermarch loom, I suggest you purchase a copy of my book, Tying up the Countermarch Loom.
Equipment for adding shafts is approximately $110-150 per shaft with lamms and treadles. You may also need new longer metal rods for treadles, countermarch jacks with longer metal rods, shafts holders and longer locking pins. You may need to drill more holes in your treadles and lamms when you add shafts or treadles to make 12 shafts or 12 treadles.

Stainless Steel Reeds
Swedish reeds, 4" and 5 ", are available in most dents and lengths up to 240 cm. Reeds can be cut to any length desired. Contact us for current prices and to specify the length and dent you wish. These are stainless steel reeds made by Glimakra, long time reed makers.
