NOTES: Glimakra looms with 16 shafts can be ordered as horizontal countermarch. An estimate of delivery time can be given upon request. Delivery is usually from three to eight months.
The loom includes an adjustable bench, 1,000 Texsolv heddles, a 10 shaft Texsolv tie up kit plus extra cord and pins for the extra shafts, instruction booklet, shaft holders, lease sticks, rubber feet and 48 warp sticks. Plus we send along a copy of the book Tying up the Countermarch Loom.
When you purchase a loom, we give support through email. If you can come to my studio in Montana, we give a free one day class on warping and tying up the loom.
Warping reels, shuttles, temples, bobbin winders and other equipment can be ordered with the loom.
Reeds in inches can be ordered in standard lengths of 70 cm, 100 cm, 120 cm, 150 cm or 160 cm or they may be cut to any size up to 250cm. The reeds are all stainless steel and of 4 or 5 inch height. They come in 5, 6, 8, 10 , 12, 15, 18, 20, 22.5 and 25 dents.
A Glimakra loom you already have can have shafts added up to 12 shafts. The shafts, lamms and treadles on the 16 shaft loom are different from the 4-12 shaft looms, so it is not possible to make a previously purchased loom into a 16 shaft loom, without replacing all the shafts, lamms countermarch jacks, treadles and treadle beam.
